#FriendlyCharacterDesign is a portraiture project in which I design caricatures of my friends, incorporating elements of their personalities and aesthetics into each design. Each outfit, pose, and prop depicted is based off of a real article of clothing, hobby, or interest possessed by the depicted person. For example, I illustrated Leah casually recording a little Mothman-esque creature with her cell phone due to her interest in cryptozoology. These pieces are vector illustrations, though the textures used within are primarily charcoal on paper or velum, transformed into cloth, hair, and shadows.
